『変わり亀甲』
亀甲文様は古来より亀の長寿にちなんで目出たい文様として使用されてきた。変わり亀甲は、亀甲文様のデフォルメデザインで、江戸時代を中心に幅広く展開された文様である。そんな変わり亀甲文様を、現代風に私達なりにさらにデフォルメデザインしたのがこの空間である。

The kikko (hexagonal) pattern had been used as an auspicious pattern because it is similar to the pattern of a turtle shell with the turtle being a symbol of longevity. The alternated kikko pattern was developed widely during the Edo period, and it is the deformation of kikko pattern. We interpreted the alternated kikko pattern in our own way, and reflected it in the design of INCANTO.
