魚屋さかい ~せせらぎ~

SAKAI -seseragi-

水の流れを空間コンセプトにしたが、空間に水を一切使わずに水に見立てた陰影や着物帯、木などで水の流れを表現しました。「見立てる」という日本独自の建築手法に習ってデザインされた空間ということで話題になりました。

Even though the concept is “a flow of water,” we didn’t use any water in the space but we liken the shadows, woods and obi (a broad sash tied over a kimono) to the flow of water. We adopted a Japanese architectural technique of likening a thing into something else to the design of the space.
