炭焼ダイニングnenは店名のごとく、炭焼きをメインにした業態です。その業態をお客様に瞬時にご理解いただく為に備長炭を約3,000本使用したファサードを考案しました。「モダン日本」を空間コンセプトに現代的な日本の粋をコンセプトにモダンな日本の息づかいをデザインしています。店内では菊炭を使用し、ハーフミラーで炭の連続体をつくり人々の記憶の襞に触れるデザインを意識しました。

This restaurant serves mainly charbroiled dishes. In order to make customers see what this restaurant serves instantly, the facade is made of 3,000 “Binchotan” high-grade charcoal produced from ubame oak. We did not use charcoal only for the facade but also the interior as well, however, we used “Kiku-Zumi” crosscut sawtooth oak charcoal that resembles the chrysanthemum flower. The charcoals are placed between a one-way mirror and a fully reflectice mirro, and it creates a series of smaller and smaller reflections of the beautiful shape of the crosscut charcoal infinitely.
