MAG7はMAGNET by SHIBUYA109（旧名SHIBUYA１０９メンズ館）の7階に新たに誕生したカルチャーホールである。私たちの言うカルチャーホールとは、単なる食を楽しむ場ではなくフードあり、音楽あり、アートありのミックスカルチャーされた空間です。デザインは「素」を活かし、床、壁や天井などスケルトンの持つ粗さを素のまま使用することで、そこから滲み出てくる空間的色気を最大限に活かすことに注力しました。また、そこにグラフィティアートやグラフィックを効果的に散りばめていくことで、エキサイティングでエキゾチックな感覚を与えたいと考え計画していきました。特に壁や床は傷んだ素の状態にアートを入れることで、また新たな息吹を吹き込むことが出来たという思います。

MAG7 is designed to be a “culture hall” in the heart of Shibuya overlooking the famous scramble crossing. MAG7 is the base station of trends where you can expose to art, music, and foods. For Design, we tried to show the original structure. Onto the damaged or rough surface of the wall and floor, we designed graffiti art or graphic sign. By doing that it feels like making new era over the history like culture always does. On the ceiling, there are many piping exposed, and we planned lighting carefully to show the chaos of piping off as the design.
